Call me ridiculous, I 'aint' no fashion diva, but I always adored the polka dotted number julia roberts wore in the polo scene in pretty woman. i have a similar dress, and find that it can be worn on both ends (and once in the middle if its a particularly active year) of wedding season without many raised eyebrows...i'm also a scientist (and former academic, which is even worse), and most of my friends don't notice these things anyway, but good luck to you!!! :)
